POLYSEMY

The “Polysemy” series is a body of works relating to translation of information and how that affects our understanding of the data and our experience.  Utilizing an appropriated version of lithography printing, one painting is used directly in the creation of another sister painting – the two being displayed as a diptych – a means of visually representing both the right and left hands of darkness. Inspired by an interest in identity/origin conflation, folie à deux, binocular vision and perception.
